Something devastating happened last night in Aurora Colorado, not too far from my hometown. A man opened fire in the Century 16 movie theater for the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, killing 12 and injuring more than 40 people.

This is a tragedy. Denver is a big town, but we have a small town heart. And to be in New York right now saddens me. I can’t be there to mourn the event with my family, friends, and hold them all so tight.

Life is short, and precious. Treasure each moment you have with everyone you have. Because you never know when it is going to be gone.

Please pray for everyone that was involved in this tragedy. And when you go home tonight, please hug your parents tight and tell them you love them.
